Thailand burning season: check air quality before choosing a route
Air quality, weather and fire hotspots are three different evidence types. Check the actual destination and timestamp in each relevant official source; a fixed seasonal calendar cannot guarantee smoke exposure or clean air.
Air4Thai is the Pollution Control Department's air-quality surface
Air4Thai presents current air-quality information from Pollution Control Department monitoring stations across Thailand. A station reading has a location and time; it does not describe every place around a destination.

PCD describes hourly, historical, alert and forecast features
A Pollution Control Department feature notice published 10 August 2026 says Air4Thai provides hourly AQI and PM2.5 information, historical information, alerts and a seven-day forecast. It describes the tool, not a current reading or personal health instruction.

TMD weather forecasts are separate from air quality
The Thai Meteorological Department publishes date-stamped regional daily weather forecasts. Weather supplies context, but it does not establish local AQI, smoke exposure or a clean-air guarantee.

GISTDA hotspot layers are not AQI readings
